The Commanders in the NFC title game, Ovechkin passes Gretzky, and Rory's Slam.
The Commanders reached the NFC Championship for the first time since 1991 in Jayden Daniels' rookie season, Alex Ovechkin scored his 895th goal on April 6 to pass Wayne Gretzky, and Rory McIlroy completed the career Grand Slam at Augusta a week later. The Thunder won a Game 7, the Dodgers repeated, Tatum tore his Achilles in May, and the Red Sox traded Rafael Devers in June. The Switch 2 came out in June and GTA VI slipped to 2026.
