The world that year

Cleveland from 3–1, the Cubs after 108 years, and Big Papi's last lap.

LeBron's block and Kyrie's three brought Cleveland back from 3–1 against a 73-win team, the Cubs won a Game 7 in extra innings after a rain delay, and David Ortiz played his last season at 40 and hit .315. Peyton Manning went out with a Super Bowl, Kobe scored 60 in his finale, Villanova won on a buzzer-beater, and Rio had Phelps, Biles and Bolt. Pokémon Go took over the summer.
