The world that year

The Red Sox sweep, the Patriots go 16–0, and the iPhone arrives.

The Red Sox swept the Rockies in October with a rookie second baseman named Pedroia, the Patriots went 16–0 in the regular season, and the Celtics traded for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen in the summer. The iPhone came out June 29, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 made the Xbox 360 the console, and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga put all six films on the Wii.
